Giants are fighting for your attention in the 2600 square kilometer of Tarangire National Park, which is famous for its big herds of elephants and its century old giant baobab trees. Besides, many other animals reside here next to the Tarangire River, and so it’s no wonder many people love Tarangire!

The dry season (June to October) is the most favorable time to visit this national park, with the Tarangire River attracting wildlife from afar. If you want to do something special during your stay here, you can choose to view the elephants from above, by hopping in a hot air balloon.

The word Serengeti means endless plains in the language of the Maasai, which is exactly what you will see the coming days; miles and miles of African savannah! And trust us: it might be the most impressive landscape you will ever see. Of course, Serengeti National Park is home to an enormous variety of wildlife, which is why some many nature documentaries where shot here.
Submerge yourself in this unique landscape, while wildebeests and zebras pass you by in their Great Migration. Spot lions on groups of rocks called kopjes, leopards in single trees or cheetahs hunting for a calf in between the wildebeests. Pass by giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, gazelles and a vervet cat or wild dog if you are lucky. The epitome of romance you can experience in a hot air balloon above these plains (which can even have the shape of a heart!).
Have a lovely overnight in a luxury safaritent, with a staff that knows how to give newlyweds just that bit of extra during dinner for example. Cuddle up at night while listening to the distant roar of a lion or the bellowing of the Great Migration herds. This is the true safari experience! Subsequently you will pass through the Ngorongoro Highlands on your way to or from Serengeti, an impressive landscape where you might run into groups of giraffes or some members of resident Maasai tribes.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is immens, and contains what might be the most special place in Africa – the Ngorongoro Crater! This is a relatively small but very fertile piece of land of 20 by 20 kilometers surrounded by a steep craters edge. Nowhere else in the world you will find this many wild animals on such a small area; on an average day 25,000 big mammals can be found here!
This means that today you stand a big chance to spot some members of the Big Five: lions, elephants and buffaloes roam around here in numbers. Last but not least the crater is home to a few dozen rare black rhinos, which makes this the best place to spot one!
The Conservation Area itself is much bigger than just this crater – in this area you can find multiple calderas and also Olduvai Gorge (with the oldest human remains in the world) can be found here. Driving there you can visit some beautiful Maasai villages, and if your time allows it you can even do a guided walking safari on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Today you will have nothing but time for each other on one of the most romantic spots of Northern Tanzania. With a superb view, a lovely room and a breathtaking infinity pool this place offers everything a newlywed couple could wish for. This might be a good day for a special excursion as well: you could for example make a beautiful roadtrip to the Empekai Crater. Nothing can be more romantic that stepping out of your safari jeep, into the plane, fly over the African land and a blue ocean, only to arrive on the pearly white beaches of Zanzibar! Enjoy the beautiful resort, lovely cocktails under the palm trees and dive into the ocean or the pool. Watch local fishermen bring in their catch of the day in their old fashioned wooden dhows, after which you order that catch for your dinner or lunch in one of the restaurants. And if then the sun sets in the evening covering everything in a red glow while you sit on the beach, you realize you have found yourself in a romantic paradise…
