Lake manyara National Park

The wilderness experience of Lake Manyara National Park is available in a variety of environments, including the soda lake in the Rift Valley, dense forested areas, and steep mountain sides. The park is renowned for its peculiar tree-climbing lions and the large elephant herds it was created to protect, in addition to its breathtaking setting.
Marshlands, grassy plains, and acacia woodlands, where lions that can scale trees and elephants with long trunks can be found, surround the lake. In the meadows, where herds of buffalo, zebra, and wildebeest graze, giraffe prance about.
You can go to the Maji Moto hot springs to relax in the warm, clear water beneath the shade of leafy trees in addition to taking part in wildlife drives and walking safaris.

WHY LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
 Rift Valley Escarpment
A fantastic vantage point for the 400-meter-high Rift Valley Escarpment is Lake Manyara. A large gap in the ground, known as the Great gap Valley, extends down the eastern edge of Africa. It was created when the earth’s crust split apart roughly 20 to 25 million years ago. Even from orbit, this gigantic phenomenon, which resembles two lines flowing down Africa, can be seen. It offers various and unusual habitats. Enjoy the big soda lake, acacia woods, jungle forest, mountain cliffs, hot springs, and grassland regions.

 Cultural Tour
A cultural and traditional tour of the Masai community is available while visiting Lake Manyara National Park. The Masai local community is located on the park’s borders. Historically, the Masai people were the park’s first residents. In the Masai village, you can see circular huts/bomas built of mud and straw, enjoy traditional dances and music, dress in bare-chested shukas, eat locally cooked food, and learn about many other aspects of the indigenous cultural heritage.
